Manual Location Entry Guide
When manually entering your location, you have the option to provide
the following details:
Latitude and Longitude
These are the geographical coordinates of your location. Latitude
specifies how far north or south you are from the equator, while
longitude specifies how far east or west you are from the Prime
Meridian.
Example: Latitude: 40.7128, Longitude: -74.0060
(for New York City)
Tip: You can use any online map service or simply
search for the desired city in the search bar above to find your
exact latitude and longitude, which will automatically populate the
fields below.
GMT Offset
This is the time difference between your local time and Greenwich
Mean Time (GMT). It helps in adjusting the times for accurate prayer
times or other location-based calculations.
Example: GMT Offset: -5 (for Eastern Standard Time,
USA)
Tip: Remember to adjust the GMT offset if your
location observes Daylight Saving Time (e.g., GMT -4 during DST).
